Shaykh Fahimul Anam

Sheikh Fahim is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He has graduated with an MA (in Teaching and Learning) and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and Marketing from the University of London. He also completed a Diploma in Arabic language and a BA in Usul-Ad-Din and Usul-al Fiqh (in the Arabic medium) from the European Institute of Islamic Sciences in France.

Sheikh Fahim has been teaching Aqidah, Fiqh, Usul-al Fiqh, Family Life, Tajwid, Arabic and other Islamic Sciences in the UK in various courses for the last 8 years. He also teaches Tajweed and Shariah Sciences at the Beacon Institute, of which he is one of the founding directors. He is also the founding director of 'Muslim Family Matters' and 'Oak Education', a supplementary educational project for children. Sheikh Fahim is also a founding Trustee of 'Gift of Knowledge', a fund for supporting the students of Shariah knowledge.

Sheikh Fahim has recently been a lead mediator and caseworker for 'Muslim Mediation Service', dealing with all family conflict and marital discord cases from a Shariah perspective. Whilst working with Muslim Mediation Service, he also completed various courses on Conflict Management, Mediation, Counselling, Personal Coaching and Training for Trainers.

Sheikh Fahim is currently working for HM Prison Service as an Imam, at HMP Grendon and Springhill, leading Juma'ah prayer, delivering Islamic courses, dealing with all the religious needs of Muslim Inmates and providing Islamic advice to the staff and management. Whilst working at HMP Grendon, the UK's sole prison dedicated to the therapeutic counselling of inmates, Sheikh Fahim has benefitted from this invaluable 'hands-on' experience of therapeutic remedial approaches, and has successfully combined and enhanced these approaches within the services provided by Muslim Family Matters - in particular, the Islamic Counselling Services.

Sheikh Fahim is married with 3 children.
