The Islamic Approach

Islamic counselling will be provided on the basis of two principles from an Islamic perspective, which are:

  1. Reflection
  2. Restoration

The first principle of 'Reflection' will focus upon:

  • Your past life
  • Yourself and present life
  • The Signs/Creations of Allah around you

The second principle of 'Restoration' will focus upon:

  • Faith in Allah
  • Hope & fear of Allah
  • Confidence in yourself
  • Forgiveness & moving forward

 

Additionally, the Islamic counselling will also focus upon:

  • Discovering your inner self
  • Nurturing your outward behaviour

Discovering your inner self – This will focus on understanding the function and connection between the inner dimensions of human life, which include:

  • The 'Aql' (Intellect)
  • The 'Qalb' (Heart)
  • The 'Rooh' (Spirit)
  • The 'Nafs' (Soul)

Nurturing your outward behaviour – This will focus on issues that govern your behaviour, which include:

  • Anger
  • Feelings
  • Emotions
  • Needs
